How to practise this subject

These practice suggestions are editorial guidance from Australian Study Resources.

  1. Choose a current course task with this focus: the global economy — trade patterns, comparative/absolute advantage, terms of trade. Define the economic concept and identify the relevant measure or variable. Use the scenario’s data to establish the starting conditions.
  2. Choose a current course task with this focus: economic indicators and measuring economic performance (GDP, unemployment, inflation, economic cycle). Draw and label the relevant economic model where appropriate. Explain the chain from the change to its effect on households, firms or the wider economy.
  3. Choose a current course task with this focus: the basic economic problem — scarcity, choice, opportunity cost. Evaluate a policy using an explicit economic criterion. Explain a benefit, a limitation and the conditions affecting your judgement.
  4. Record the specific point you missed, write a corrected response, and attempt another question that requires the same skill. Check older material against your current course before reusing it.

Plan your next practice session

Choose one gap from your recent work and turn it into a concrete task. Schedule an attempt, a check and a later retry, then record what still needs clarification.
