How to practise this subject

These practice suggestions are editorial guidance from Australian Study Resources.

1. Open the 2025 Written examination, Section A Q1. Task focus — A rider leaves a ramp angled below the horizontal at a speed given in km/h; resolve the launch velocity and decide, with working, whether the rider clears a gap of given width and drop. 2. Open the 2025 Written examination, Section B Q6. Task focus — Thunderclouds and lightning: induced ground charge, field sketch, why strikes start at sharp points, a static-hair warning sign, then minimum potential difference, charge transferred and energy released in a strike. 3. Open the 2025 Written examination, Section C Q12. Task focus — White light enters a 60° prism: angle of incidence from the refracted angle, sketches of blue and red paths, the critical angle, and whether all light leaves at one face. 4. Record the specific point you missed, write a corrected response, and attempt another question that requires the same skill. Check older material against your current course before reusing it.
