Optional activity analytics

We record page views, navigation and resource clicks, downloads and engagement using a temporary random session identifier. Records contain page paths, destination domains, referring domains, timestamps and a traffic classification. We do not store search text, URL query strings, names, email addresses, raw IP addresses or full browser user-agent strings in the activity table.

Traffic classification

Our server checks the browser user-agent for declared crawlers and combines this with browser automation and interaction signals to estimate likely human, likely automated or unknown activity. These estimates do not prove identity. Preview and explicitly marked test sessions are reported separately. Crawlers that do not run JavaScript will not appear in this activity dataset.

Storage and retention

Vercel processes events and Supabase stores them privately, separated by website. Records are retained for up to 90 days, with daily cleanup. Hosting providers maintain separate operational and security logs. Sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity between page loads and are stored in the browser tab.

Your choice

We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. You can also turn off optional activity analytics for this browser without affecting study resources.
